Radio Activity began broadcasting to south London in late November 1986 between the weekday hours of 6pm-12pm and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday. The area covered was small and reception was strongest in Streatham. A wide variety of music was played by its roster of 16 DJs but in the main consisted of Soul and Hip Hop. Nick Harris presented a Monday - Thursday Hip Hop Show which began at 8pm, and on Sundays he could be heard from 12 noon to 3pm. At present the format and contents of his show are not known.

The station suffered a heavy raid on 2nd January 1987 which forced it to resume under the new name of TCR, and from then on it alternated between these two identities to share the frequency, eventually managing twelve hours each per day with a revised playlist and new DJs.
